Advanced Portfolio 2 + Advanced Drawing 2 (Figure Drawing in Charcoal & Pencil)
Description: Artists will build on what they have learned from my previous programs to create figure drawings from life using photos as a support. We will move more quickly than my beginning classes and use different media: charcoal and colored paper in addition to pencil and white paper. The drawings created in this program can be used as extra pieces or replace required drawings created in previous programs. Artists will add to their tool box of materials and techniques to grow their art practice and their portfolios in a rigorous, fun and supportive environment.
Important Info:This class is designed to be taken after all of my beginning portfolio programs and for other advanced students. Artists from other programs must be approved to take this class - please email me images of their work: peppitoartworkshop@gmail.com
Dates:Wednesdays - April 23, 30, May 7, 14, 21
Time: 4:45pm - 6:45pm
Age Range: 7th - 9th grade
Location: My Kensington, Brooklyn, studio (East 7th near PS130/ MS 839)
Instructor: Julie Peppito
Supplies: Included
Class size: *6 to 10 (to run a class there must be at least 6 artists enrolled)
Season: Spring 2025
Cost: $420 $378 —— Register before 9am, Feb 11, 2025 and get 10% ($42) off of the regular $420 cost.
Missed Classes:No make up classes or refunds are available due to the short run of the program and because each class builds on the previous one. Please look at your calendar and confirm the dates before signing up. I will email students make-up work to do art home if they have to miss a class. If there is an unavoidable emergency that makes it impossible for the student to attend many classes I will discuss remedy with parents on a case by case basis.
