PORTFOLIO 2 - TUES : Self Portraits

PRE-REQUISITE: To take this course the artist must have already taken Observational Drawing 101 or Portfolio 1 (occasional exceptions can be made, email Julie if you feel your teen is already very skilled at observational drawing: peppitoartworkshop@gmail.com - title it: PRE-REQUISITE PORTFOLIO)

This program is typically part 2 of a 3 part program (really four parts if you include Drawing 101). I recommend taking the programs in order, however if the artist has taken Drawing 101 they can take any of the three Portfolio Programs: Portfolio 1 (Still Life Drawing), Portfolio 2 (Self Portraits), or Portfolio 3 (Figure Drawing & Fantastical Sandwich). PORTFOLIO 2 : SELF PORTRAITS

6 weeks: May 7, 14, 21, 28, June 4, 11

In Portfolio 2: Self Portraits, students will learn about facial proportions, how to draw eyes, noses and mouths from observation and then put them together into a portrait of themselves.

Supplies : ALL SUPPLIES INCLUDED

Hours: 4pm - 6pm

Location: My Kensington, Brooklyn, studio (near PS130/ MS 839)

Ages: 6th, 7th and 8th graders

Class size: 8 - 10 participants. (Classes require minimum 6 participants)

MISSED CLASSES: 2 make up classes per semester which can happen on Wednesday’s - Julie must be notified the Monday before the make up class.

ART BY: Marlo, age 13, PAW grad.
