College Portfolio Prep

Dates and times:

June 6th, Thursday, 3-5pm (Chancelors Day - no school)

June 17th, Monday,   4-6pm

June 19th, Wednesday, 4-6pm  (Juneteenth - no school)

July 14th, Sunday, 4-6pm

Description:

In this 4 class session I will give individualized instruction in a small group to help kick start portfolios and give feedback on work already in progress or completed. I will help build foundation skills (including teaching observational drawing and exploring new materials if needed), and work with the creativity, vision, strengths and potential of each artist. I scheduled this program at the beginning of the summer so that artists can work over the rest of the summer if needed. I may schedule a program near the end of the summer to check in on their progress.

It will be helpful if artists and parents can research the specific requirements for the schools they are applying to. Most schools require between 10 to 15 pieces. Art from observation is always desirable in portfolios so there will need to be some work that includes pieces focusing on this skill.

Drawing supplies included.

Location: Classes will be in my Kensington, Brooklyn studio on East 7th Street between Church and Beverly (near the B103, F/G and Q/B)
